Hands up, who would like to try my Actifry inspired Eggplant Parmesan (made with a secret ingredient ) In My Kitchen with #February Love?
Thanks once again to Celia from Fig Jam and Lime Cordial for inviting me to her fun-filled monthly series called In My Kitchen.
Where is THIS year going?
It “seems” like just last week, I was sharing the LOVE In My Kitchen #January!
This past month has seen MANY celebrations and will share a snippet of some of what “magically” appeared In My Kitchen with #February Love.
Not in any particular order; as you know by now I don’t play any favorites when it comes to things In My Kitchen.
MANY people are under the misconception that chips (Aussie lingo for fries) are the only thing that can be made with only “one spoonful of oil.”
While I must admit, I could not WAIT to make healthy chips for Chef Georgio (from These Three #Eggs Came to Breakfast fame ), I LOVE the simplicity, versatility and not only does it fry foods a LOT healthier, but you can taste the difference and in this recent heatwave in Adelaide (heatwave #1 and #2 lol), my new Actifry really helped; saving time and money too!
Even Thermalina with her new ThermoSkins cossie (Aussie Lingo for costume) approved as while she also saves HEAPS of “time and money” AND has already paid for herself), she (and I) recognize SHE compliments other methods of cooking and baking and KNOWS she is on my “food pedestal” In My Kitchen with #February Love.
Thermalina “hears” everything I say too!
Look forward to what will be uniquely created by her soon too!
I LOVE making homemade pasta and cannot WAIT to start experimenting with other grain flour combinations as “healthier options.”
There is nothing like the taste of fresh pasta or the sense of achievement when one enjoys a dish made with love.
I am glad to share my pasta accessories In My Kitchen with #February Love.
I LOVE decorative (and functional ) trivets true!
I had been looking for one that spoke to me and then “magically” this beautifully, handcrafted trivet made its way In My Kitchen with #February Love.
Does anyone other than Thermalina and I think there is a female’s face “staring” back and YOU too?
I have never cooked or baked with Quinoa.
Despite having tri-colored Quinoa “staring” at me from the pantry for some time, it was not under The Vegetarian’s Complete Quinoa Cookbook by Mairlyn Smith came In My Kitchen with #February Love courtesy of Murdoch Publishing; more coming soon!
I hope you also will be looking forward to my future love projects (coming soon) In My Kitchen with #February Love.
Courtesy of Adriano Zumbo Patissier and Lurpak, they want me to do……WHAT???
In My Kitchen with #February Love?
“What is FreekehTM?”, “hear” you say?
Remember, I can still “hear” what you say while you are sitting behind your computer screen too!
Courtesy of Greenwheat Freekeh, “is a delicious, highly nutritious grain made from roasted green grains. It is free from any chemicals or GMO.”
I can’t WAIT to see what I can create In My Kitchen with #February Love.
I recently had occasion to taste a wonderfully exciting “different and unique” freekeh salad recipe deliciously made with chickpeas.
For those of you who are also curious about the nutritional value compared to quinoa, brown rice and farro:
Lastly, Chef Georgio and I have a GREAT appreciation for all South Australia food and wine and one of our “traditions” is when we have experienced a very memorable experience with wonderful memories, we indulge in obtaining wine glasses so every time we view, it reminds us of just HOW lucky (and blessed) we are in having the most extraordinary life together. If you could pick one or two items from In My Kitchen with #February Love this month, what would it be and why?
I am always curious what you think and as you know, comments brighten my day and Chef Georgio too!
Have YOU ever tried FreekehTM?
If you have, I would welcome you sharing your experience via comments today!
I would LOVE hearing what dish or recipe you tried! Thank you!
Please spread In My Kitchen with #February Love and will appreciate you following me via email, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest.
In My Kitchen with #February Love was fun-filled for me to blog about today and hope you enjoyed it too!
