Have I already GRABBED your attention with this Three Cheese Cheese Pot exotic dessert that was recreated with #Middle Eastern Passion through Homefresh Experience Smiles?
I am sure you enjoyed my previous Simply #French Homefresh Experience and were all salivating for Coq au Vin and like me via Chef Jean-Claude du Toulouse, was “inspired” with All you need is Soufflé!
For my readers overseas and Adeladians YET to discover, Homefresh Experience is a local Norwood store selling a wide range of kitchen and homeware products that are “different, fun and unique!”
Homefresh Experience offers weekly cooking classes “with The Real South Australia feel” for kids, teens and adults run by the “very entertaining” international renowned chef Jean-Claude du Tolouse; author of Legendary Cuisine which is available worldwide through Amazon.
Psst….It will be our secret today; don’t tell chef Jean-Claude…okay?
Chef Jean-Claude will be releasing more cookbooks including a cookbook about one of his favorite ingredients….QUINOA!!!
Homefresh Experience classes include: Flavours of Europe, Flavours of Asia, Flavours of the Garden, Flavours of France, and Flavours of The Middle East.
Adult Chef Classes are $57.00, Teenage Chef Classes are $27.00 and Junior Chef Kids (age 4 – 14) Classes are $14.00 (inclusive of ingredients on the day; $1.34 booking fee applies).
GREAT value, eh?
Did I mention no previous skills are needed and EVERYONE takes a turn in participating throughout the night; this is a VERY interactive “hands-on” cooking class sharing #Middle Eastern Passion through Homefresh Experience Smiles!
Courtesy of HomeFresh Experience, I was VERY excited to be participating in this Flavours of the Middle East cooking class recreating exotic dishes; having fun along the way and meeting strangers who became friends at the end of the class is a bonus too!
Chef Jean-Claude took the group on a journey of the Middle East through various stories as well as emphasizing Middle Eastern dishes surround fresh produce (like the herbs and vegetables from his garden).
Chef Jean-Claude shared on the night about how our Middle Eastern dishes would be about “The Crescent” and “The Sun.”
“What’s the crescent and the sun?”, I “hear” you ask?
I can’t give away ALL of chef Jean-Claude’s secrets on the night!
I will give you a hint, the sun and the crescent do symbolically represent the world and it was also the shapes of the pumpkin and sweet potatoes that were included in the “communally enjoyed dishes.”
It was GREAT to see #Middle Eastern Passion through Homefresh Experience Smiles while the group prepped herbs, vegetables, garnish, how chef Jean-Claude taught how to butterfly chicken breasts, how to stuff chicken breasts, how to prepare and decorate the “delightful” dessert and how plating is important to name “only a few” things people learned on the night!
Smiles are contagious and even the dishwasher aka the owner Steve was smiling too!
NOTE: Permission was obtained from all participants for photographs!
Chef Jean-Claude demonstrated making “the proper consistency” of pesto to stuff the chicken breasts with as if the mixture was too runny, it would run (pun intended ) out of the chicken while baking.
The secret ingredient on the night was pistachios!
There is also a “special technique” how to stuff the chicken breasts aka chef Jean-Claude’s secret hint and tip!
I bet everyone who is a foodie reading this wishes they lived in Adelaide so they could sign up for a future class, eh?
Chef Jean-Claude also shared how to sauté (which in French means to literally “jump” or “bounce” in the pan); once again, participation is what this class is all about!
Have you heard of GreenPan™ fry pans with the new patented Thermolon™ non-stick technology?
The ceramic bottom allows even cooking; GreenPan™ “processes used materials into new products such as this fry pan.”
While the chicken and “crescent” and “sun” vegetables were cooking,
chef Jean-Claude explained about pearl quinoa as he sautéed the night away!
Chef Jean-Claude then shared about the three different cheese that we were going to include in our dessert; how and where to shop for cheese for our own Homefresh kitchen experience.
I did mention about everyone “communally enjoying” these
Flavours of The Middle East dishes!
Not only was it genuinely GREAT to see the group’s #Middle Eastern Passion through Homefresh Experience Smiles but by dessert, strangers who now became “food friends” had a bit of Three Cheese Cheese Pot rivalry; all in good fun as to whose dessert was decorated best!
From couples to friends, to “team bonding” workmates, these were only a few examples of who attending this #Middle Eastern Passion through Homefresh Experience Smiles cooking classes tonight.
